An interesting dilemma
Just before my birthday I won a 63 centimetre (26 Inch) colour television in a random prize draw. What a surprise! This brand new big beautiful telly is all mine!
But what would I do with it?
I rarely watch TV. Here I am at Telstra Stadium a few miles outside Sydney with this big 40 kilogramme box, and I am scheduled to travel on the bus back home to Melbourne that evening!
I rang a friend who I have known for many years who lives in Sydney and he was willing to get it from the stadium for me. The box was too big to go on the bus, and it would have cost me more than I was willing to pay to freight it to Melbourne.
I heard that my friend has a friend who was thinking of getting a television.
Wow! what an opportunity to give my friend who has done so many favors for me!
I gave the set to him, and he was extremely happy to give it to his friend that same evening.
I got so much joy from that opportunity to give, and each day since then, I smile as I think of the pleasure my friends and I got from it.
